How to win using the Junkz clan in Urban Rivals

Playing Urban Rivals for almost a year now, I have already developed a number of strategies involving a number of clans in the game. Today I will be discussing one of the popular clans in UR: The Junkz clan.

Because they're not as used as say the Uppers or the Montana clans, it doesn't necessarily mean the Junkz clan is inferior. In fact, with great practice, I think the Junkz is a formidable clan with a few legendary cards up their sleeve.

Just judging by their monicker, the Junkz are not at all "junk". Mostly, the Junkz are based on popular culture art-wise. Game-wise, they have a simple clan bonus of Attack + 8, which is similar to the police force clan: the Sentinels. I think the Junkz are underestimated because of this seemingly weak bonus. I have to disagree. For me, it's this bonus which spells doom to the opponents. People would see Junkz and laugh at their weakness but they will end up crying after losing to this underrated clan.

There are four cards in the Junkz clan with extreme potential. These are: Taham, Nobodroid, Peeler and Rowdy. Taham has that pillz-manipulation ability which can immediately turn around a losing game. The same can be said of Nobodroid, although I find Taham a lot more useful because of his 8-power. Peeler is both a damage reducer and a damage-dealer, so he's a double-edge sword in a good way. Lastly, Rowdy has one of the best abilities in the game: Attack +12. With the bonus, this gives Rowdy effectively 20+ attack without using any pillz!

Aside from this monstrous cards, they also have the best support cards in the form of the two-star pair: Veenyle and Gil. Veenyle is a weenie card with one of the best, if not the best, damage-reduction among the two-star cards in the whole of Urban Rivals. Gil is like a pint-sized version Taham, except he's not a hamster and he's definitely not as threatening. He's just there as a very effective filler card which can be used on the first turn.

Other UR players may underestimate you if you use the Junkz clan, but believe me, there's more to them than meets the eye. Try practicing with a half-deck for now. In my opinion, they're best used with clans like Pussycats, Piranas or Jungo. Why? Because with those clans and their corresponding abilities and bonuses, it will be pretty confusing which card you will block! It's especially effective if you get +Pillz ability cards in one draw. It will be a total mindgame right there.

Like I said before they're pretty formidable. Have fun using the deceptively junky Junkz clan!

Suggested deck constructions:

Rowdy and Peeler's crew (Type 1)

Peeler's Crew - Mono Junkz ( Type 1)
